Quick update, John:
Yesterday, Donald Trump hosted El Salvador’s authoritarian president in
the Oval Office, where both of them claimed they do not have the power to
return wrongfully deported Maryland father Kilmar Abrego Garcia. We call
BS.
[ [link removed] ]NBC News: El Salvador's president says he won't return mistakenly
deported man to U.S.; The Trump administration no claims Kilmar Abrego
Garcia wasn't deported by mistake, as the Justice Department said, but was
'the right person sent to the right place.'
Not only are these world leaders playing dumb and saying their hands are
tied, skirting the Supreme Court’s unanimous ruling to bring Kilmar back
to the States, but Trump doubled down on his idea to send U.S. citizens to
the same foreign mega-prison known for human rights abuses.
[ [link removed] ]A post on X from @xxxxxxOnline: 'Q: 'You mentioned that you're open to
deporting individuals that aren't foreign aliens...Does that include U.S.
citizens?' Trump: 'If they're criminals...Yeah, that includes them...I'm
all for it.' It cludes an image of a CNN broadcast of Trump sitting in the
Oval Office with the caption 'Trump welcoms El Salvador's president to the
White House.'
Once again, this far-right administration is breaking the law and flouting
court orders, testing our country’s system of checks and balances and the
separation of powers laid out in the Constitution.

John. Rush a grassroots contribution of any
amount to keep up our fight for an independent judiciary and hold Trump
accountable NOW →
