Over the past few weeks, I’ve heard from countless neighbors—through emails, walk-ins, and community events—about growing concerns over attacks on Social Security. That’s why I held an event in Philadelphia specifically focused on protecting Social Security, where I raised the alarm about what’s at stake.
Social Security is under attack from this administration's policies, and if we lose even one Social Security office in Philadelphia, the impact on our seniors and retirees would be devastating.
I will defend Social Security with everything I have.
I also visited Esperanza Health Center in Kensington, where I heard firsthand how proposed conservative budget cuts—the largest to Medicaid in our nation’s history—would impact real people. These extreme proposals are designed to help pay for the biggest tax breaks ever handed to the top one percent.
We heard how Medicaid affords crucial support for our neighbors — like in-home care for a 64-year-old Navy veteran. That care allows him to live with dignity. Cutting Medicaid would pull the rug out from under people like him—and that is simply unacceptable.
As the Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee, I’ve led my colleagues in pushing back against these draconian cuts.
Nearly 44% of my constituents rely on Medicaid according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. These are not just numbers—these are our families, friends, and neighbors.
I’ll keep standing up, I’ll keep raising my voice, and I’ll keep fighting—for you.
Sincerely,

Brendan F. Boyle
Member of Congress
