Black Future Newsstand is heading to the West Coast! 🎉

In partnership with Media2070, we are excited to invite you to Los Angeles’ Black Future Newsstand’s latest activation: Riot to Repair Soundscape Exhibition, a multimedia immersive showcase that provides a lived experience of the power of reparative storytelling.

The exhibition will invite participants into a future on the other side of media reparations — an abundant world of journalism that celebrates Black multimedia storytelling, acts as caretakers of community stories and provides a necessary interjection into the barrage of narratives grounded in anti-Blackness, militarization and racial capitalism.

Installations like Black Future Newsstand dare us to dream of a future where power and ownership of media and technology are more widely controlled and influenced by social movements. That’s why we are proud to be leading the conversation in programming and workshops about the intersections of tech and Black narrative power. More details to come!
