📣📣 Candidate Announcement: House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson is Running for Governor!! 📣📣

The Oklahoma Democratic Party proudly announces its support for Cyndi Munson in her campaign for Governor of Oklahoma.

The Republican Party has held the governor’s office since 2011. Since then, our state has slipped to the bottom in education, health care, and child well-being. Oklahomans deserve better—and Cyndi Munson is ready to deliver.

A daughter of a veteran and an immigrant raised in Lawton by a single dad, Cyndi understands the challenges working families face. She became the first in her family to graduate college thanks to Oklahoma’s Promise, then spent over a decade in nonprofits helping children and families in need.

In 2015, she made history as the first Asian-American woman elected to the Oklahoma Legislature. As House Minority Leader, she’s led the charge to repeal the grocery tax, invest in public schools, protect tribal sovereignty, and stand up to extreme Republican policies attacking women and children.

It’s time for new leadership—and Cyndi Munson is ready to lead the way.
