Representative Trey Lamar led the charge to eliminate Mississippi's income tax, collaborating closely with Speaker Jason White to craft a thorough and well-considered tax plan. Trey didn't just take on the bulk of the work; he did so with transparency and approachability. Last fall, he laid out his goals at a public meeting on tax policy, engaging openly with attendees. When he brought the plan to the legislature, he debated it candidly and in good faith with all involved. This process exemplifies how pro-growth reforms should be enacted, and we commend him for it!
