Dear Neighbors -
It seems like we may have finally turned a corner on the weather, and I hope you’re able to get out and enjoy the sunlight and spring temperatures. This week, the Minnesota Legislature is on break in observance of Easter and Passover, but DFLers are not resting from fighting for our constituents against the harmful agenda of Trump and his MAGA Republicans allies.
Just last night, over 600 folks showed up for a South Metro Town hall [ [link removed] ] with Rep. Angie Craig and Minnesota State Representatives and Senators. I’m headed up to Duluth today for the next in the series of our statewide “From Paychecks to Healthcare” Town Hall tour organized by the House and Senate DFL to listen to how the Trump/Musk chaos is affecting you, share how it’s impacting our state’s budget, and organize to fight back!

Minneapolis Federal Impacts Town Hall

This event will feature a presentation about how the Trump\Musk regime’s actions are hurting Minnesotans, and most importantly, it’s an opportunity for people in our area to voice their ideas, fears, frustrations, and actions. I’m eager to listen to what you have to say and work together to stand up for our shared values.

SD63 Town Hall with Attorney General Keith Ellison
*Next Tuesday, April 22nd from 6:30-7:30pm *Representative Samantha Sencer-Mura, Senator Zaynab Mohamed, and I will be hosting our April Senate District 63 Town Hall and are thrilled to be joined by Attorney General Ellison.
We will have a discussion with Minnesota’s Attorney General about how we are supporting Minnesota workers and families in this tumultuous time, and how state government is working to protect Minnesotans from the chaos and cruelty of the Trump/Musk agenda both in the Legislature and in the courts.
District 63 Town Hall
Attorney General Ellison has been winning cases on behalf of Minnesotans for years. In the last few months, the Attorney General has been on the frontlines of protecting our state from the illegal and constitutional actions of Donald Trump and Elon Musk and I’m incredibly thankful and excited that he will be joining us to talk about the work of the Attorney General’s office. I hope you can join us next Tuesday!
