Dear John,

Ten years ago this spring, four women gathered in an apartment in Central Brooklyn to begin organizing what would grow into 350Brooklyn today* – a burgeoning grassroots movement of 4,500+ members strong, fighting for climate justice solutions in our hometown of Brooklyn.

This kernel of our beginnings – a few organized people slowly but surely turning into a crowd is a model of participation we have successfully emulated over and over these past 10 years. It’s a model that we also implement to cover the funding of our operational needs! Which is why we’re asking you today for help as part of our April is for Growing Campaign.

Can you help us crowdfund 350Brooklyn with a donation?

For the past 3 years, we’ve asked members to run mini-campaigns in the month of April to help with this effort. Check out this year’s 12 campaigns by 350Brooklyn activists here, including a special opportunity to own an Ellen Driscoll artwork titled “Earth in the Balance” an edition of 1 of 5. We have 1 more left for the next person who donates $275 to Ellen’s campaign.

Thank you for your activism and support. If you’d like to read a bit more about our founding story, starting with those four fierce women–please find a link below!
