Yesterday, Donald Trump met with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, and what unfolded in the Oval Office was nothing short of horrifying.
The focus? The illegal deportation of Maryland husband and father Kilmar Abrego Garcia — a man with no criminal record in the U.S. or El Salvador, whom the Trump administration wrongfully deported to a notorious Salvadoran prison known for its inhumane conditions.
➡️ A U.S. judge ordered Kilmar not be deported due to threats to his life.
➡️ The Supreme Court ruled his removal illegal.
➡️ The Justice Department admitted it was an “administrative error.”
➡️ Trump’s response? Mockery, cruelty, and lies.
Sitting beside Bukele in front of the press, Trump dismissed Kilmar’s deportation as no big deal. He smeared him as a terrorist, without evidence. He said he wanted Bukele to take in “as many criminals as possible.” And when pressed by reporters, Trump mocked them:
“They’d love to have a criminal released into our country. These are sick people.”
Let’s be clear: Kilmar was never charged with a crime. His deportation was not only illegal — it was morally indefensible. But Trump saw it as a photo op.
Even Bukele — no stranger to authoritarianism, refused to return Kilmar, sarcastically asking reporters, “How can I smuggle a terrorist into the United States?” Then added: “We’re not very fond of releasing terrorists.”
That’s the kind of toxic alliance Trump is building. Authoritarians who joke about human lives while American families are torn apart.
And what did Trump’s team do?
🚨 Stephen Miller said the deportation was “the right move.”
🚨 Pam Bondi refused to take any action to fix it.
🚨 Marco Rubio attacked the courts for daring to check Trump’s power.
This isn’t leadership — it’s lawless, racist, authoritarian cruelty.
Trump is already making it clear what his second term will look like:
✅ Violent deportations
✅ Total disregard for the law
✅ International human rights violations
✅ And American families paying the price
