Dear John,

Across the country, Americans are coming together to Let Freedom Ring!

On April 18, bells will ring from places of worship, campuses, neighborhoods, town squares, and even a Maine lighthouse — marking the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s ride and the start of the American Revolution against tyranny, and raising a collective call to protect our democracy.

We invite you to join the movement!

The Center for Media and Democracy has teamed up with a host of faith groups to organize this national cry for freedom in solidarity with The Old North Church’s 250th Lantern Service and bell-ringing in Boston featuring a keynote by Heather Cox Richardson.

Please ask your place of worship and others in your community to join the chorus and ring their bells!

Whether you belong to a house of worship, a local group, or simply want to make your voice heard—this is a moment for everyone who believes in liberty, justice, and community to stand up and be counted. Ring bells with your fellow parishioners on your place of worship steps, with your friends in a park or on a street corner, or online

You don’t need a physical bell to be part of this. You just need to care about our country, our freedoms, and our democracy. Spread the word!

In these challenging times, Let Freedom Ring! is a fun and powerful way for all of us to take a symbolic stand against tyranny, past and present.

Thanks for all that you do,

Arn H. Pearson
