John,
As feline breeding season peaks, thousands of kittens will find themselves in need of round-the-clock care, shelter and basic comforts such as food and water. Each year, countless kittens arrive at animal shelters and rescues nationwide during this time of year, including the ASPCA Kitten Nursery—but this year, things have changed. The need for critical care for these vulnerable animals persists, but because of the challenges brought by COVID-19, we’ve had to shift our work in order to protect these tiny felines.
My name is Gemma Smith, and I'm the Administrative Manager at the ASPCA Kitten Nursery. Too young to survive on their own, many of the kittens we see this time of year are in a desperate state and need immediate care in order to grow healthy and strong. With most shelters nationwide operating at limited capacity, we're relying on friends like you to help us be there for kittens and animals in need. Our foster caregivers have stepped up to assist us when kittens needed them most, but kittens nationwide still need you right now. |
For the youngest kittens who require intensive care, many won’t make it to next summer without help.
Now is a critical time, and your gift today can help us save more lives. You can help us continue to provide medical care, comfort, food and water, and above all, hope, to animals who need it most. In the years I’ve dedicated my time and career to the animals who need us, I’ve seen the power of change held by friends like you. |

Right now, we desperately need your support as we continue to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, assist the innocent animals still in our care, and fight to end cruelty and rescue those who need us most. If you’re able, please make a lifesaving gift today.
Thank you so much.
Best regards,
Gemma Smith
