John,
As millions of Americans voice their pain and outrage at ever-present systemic racism, we need a leader in the White House. But instead, we have an aspiring tyrant.
After Donald Trump demanded governors across the country "dominate the streets" against those speaking out for peace, justice and a better world, he attacked peaceful protestors with tear gas and rubber bullets – all for an appalling photo op in front of a church that didn't want him there.
Now, he’s threatening to send the U.S. military into states across the country – and unmarked troops have already been deployed to the streets of Washington, D.C.
We cannot stay silent in the face of his calls for military force against Americans exercising their constitutional right to peacefully protest. I am committed to fighting Trump's dangerous threats with every fiber of my being, but with so much at stake right now, I need to know where you stand before midnight tonight:
Do you approve of how Donald Trump has handled peaceful protests?
To all of those walking for justice, you are my heroes. Keep walking. You'll make a difference.
Thank you, and stay safe,
Donna
