Last week, my friend Senator Mark Warner got a little fired up — and for good reason.
During a Senate Finance Committee hearing, he grilled Trump’s top trade representative over the administration’s disastrous tariffs. The damage these policies are doing to working families and our economy is staggering — and yet when Mark pressed him for answers, all he got were excuses.
Mark said it best: The real problem isn’t just the policies — it’s the people Trump has surrounded himself with. They’re not serious. They’re not qualified. And they’re willing to let Trump wreck our economy, endanger our alliances, and hurt everyday Americans without a second thought.
It’s the same chaos and corruption I’m fighting against in the House as Ranking Member of the Oversight Committee. Trump and Musk are doing everything they can to dismantle our government from the inside out — and the people they’ve put in charge? They’re more interested in pleasing Trump than serving the American people.
Mark and I are both on the frontlines of this fight — and we both have big targets on our backs. Trump, Musk, and their MAGA allies would love nothing more than to silence our voices and shut down our investigations.
