Republicans are feeling the heat after weeks of inaction in response to an unelected billionaire taking over our federal government and the president ripping up checks and balances. They are feeling the heat of Trump’s chaotic tariff policy, rising costs and falling stock market.
Yet they continue to stand on the sidelines as Trump and Musk harm their communities and allow our economy to crash and burn. Republicans passed a budget that makes historically large cuts to Medicaid – nearly a trillion dollars in cuts to entitlements and critical social safety net programs that families rely on to survive.
Republicans may be focused on lowering costs –
but only for their billionaire friends and donors – not the Americans that actually need it. These devastating spending cuts will pay for expanded tax cuts for the top one percent while leaving everyone else behind.
Democrats and I won’t stand for this, we need leaders who put the interests of our communities and working families first. We must continue to call out Trump and Republicans on these reckless and destructive decisions – but I need you with us in this fight.
