We've had some questions about why we're going after a moderate like Susan Collins when there are far worse MAGA offenders to direct our ire. So we want to explain it.

No Surrender was founded to degrade and destroy Trumpism and inflict maximum political pain on every elected official who enables and supports Donald Trump. We are focused on defeating vulnerable Republicans like Collins, who want to play the middle ground of allowing Trump to get away with his autocratic and illegal takeover of our government, while telling reporters in private that Trump's actions "concern her".

Susan Collins has done little to stand in Trump's way. She voted against confirming Pete Hegseth as Defense Secretary and against Kash Patel as FBI Director. Nice.

But then she turned around and voted for anti-vaxxer RFK Jr. to run America's Health agency and Russia fan-girl Tulsi Gabbard to run our nation's intelligence community.

During the first Trump term, Collins voted to acquit Trump in his first impeachment and said he "learned his lesson." She voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh after he told her that he would not help overturn Roe v. Wade, just for him to turn around and renege on that "promise" and strip the right to health care from millions of women.

But most egregious of all: Susan Collins said that Trump was directly responsible for spreading the Big Lie and for inciting the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th. She said she believed Trump was responsible for attempting a violent overthrow of the government. She even voted to convict him in his SECOND impeachment trial. As a kicker, Collins said publicly she would not vote for Trump in the 2024 election.

Yet after all that, she has remained a Republican. She has chosen to remain a member of Trump's MAGA party. The party that is standing by and groveling while Donald Trump:

* Eviscerates our global alliances.
* Guts our federal government.
* Illegally renders people in this country to a concentration camp in El Salvador.
* Intentionally nukes the stock market, and brings us to the brink of a recession.
* Attacks universities, law firms, and media outlets, forcing them to bow down to him by threatening their livelihoods.

Donald Trump is a danger to the survival of our democratic republic. She lacks the courage to buck him, which means she lacks the courage to stem the tide of Trump's corrupt authoritarianism. For that reason, she must be defeated.

Susan Collins is one of the most vulnerable Senators who stand in the way of taking back our government, our democracy, and our country from Trump's grip. That, JOHN, is why we are targeting her.
