I’d like to re-introduce myself, then tell you why I need your help to fight for North Carolina’s future.

I’m Josh Stein, Governor of North Carolina.

I have proudly served our state and its people for years — including as a State Senator and Attorney General. I’ve never shied away from taking on big fights for our state, including winning one of the most competitive and consequential gubernatorial races of 2024.

I grew up here in North Carolina, and my wife Anna and I raised our family here, too. I know that this is a great place to live, but far-right threats are making it harder for people to thrive.

From defunding public schools to passing extreme, culture-war-driven legislation — too many NC Republicans are more interested in dragging our state backward than in making us stronger.

But we can make our state stronger, John. I ran for Governor because North Carolina is worth the fight.

My priorities include helping communities rebuild after Hurricane Helene, making sure public school students and teachers have the resources they need to succeed, and investing in public safety. Together, we’re making a real difference in North Carolinians’ lives — not just trying to score political points at the expense of folks in need.

There’s hard work ahead of us, and I’m ready to do it. I’m counting on your help. You see, electing Democratic leaders across the state and to federal offices is key to passing legislation that helps — not hurts — North Carolinians.
