Hi friend,
Please join me in congratulating Imperial Beach Mayor Paloma Aguirre for advancing to the runoff election for District One’s next Supervisor!
I have known Paloma for years, and she is a true champion for South County.
Paloma has long been an advocate for environmental equity and collaboration, fighting for real, lasting solutions to the Tijuana River sewage crisis and bringing together local, state, and county partners to make progress on our region’s most pressing issues.
As we grapple with the looming threat of federal funding cuts and uncertainty around shifting federal policies, we need a decisive, equity-centered, and unifying voice on the Board to keep San Diego County moving forward.
With another Democrat joining myself and Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer on the Board, we will have the majority we need to implement real, people-centered change.
We know the challenges ahead are great, but together, the strength in our numbers is even greater.
Thank you for standing with us!
