Remember how Donald Trump promised to be a dictator “on day one”?

Now, we’re seeing the same thing play out in this race.

Earlier this week, GOP candidate for governor Bill Spadea pledged that if elected, he’d completely ignore the will of the people.

“I’m going to ignore the legislature for the first 100 days. I’m going to ignore the courts for 100 days, and we’re going to lead by executive order.”

These words should terrify all of us. In New Jersey, we don’t elect kings. We don’t elect dictators. We elect leaders who will represent all of us — and Bill Spadea is clearly not one of them.

And when you consider that Elon Musk and Trump’s billionaire allies will spend as much as it takes to buy the New Jersey governor’s seat, you’ll understand why I’m humbly asking:

Will you chip in any amount to my campaign for governor? We’re less than two months away from primary election day, and every dollar will help us fend off dark money attacks, spread our message to voters door-to-door and on the airwaves, and invest in the tools we need to win this race.
