Since the Inflation Reduction Act was passed, clean energy investments and tax credits have been put to work across the nation. In just three short years there has been an increase in access to renewable energy, expansion of clean car technology, and a surge in growth in affordability and access to energy-efficient home improvements.

We’ve even heard personal stories from EDF Action members who have benefitted from these investments. One member built a flourishing business installing solar panels in homes across New York and another member in Delaware saved money making energy-efficient upgrades to their home’s water heater and HVAC system!

The progress has been remarkable, but now as some members of Congress attempt to gut these programs to pay for tax cuts that would benefit wealthy Americans, it’s all under threat. They’re attempting to take away benefits that would help manufacturers build new hubs for wind and solar, and repeal tax credits that would make energy efficient upgrades to our homes and business more affordable.
