The beloved Snowy Owl is a bird in steep decline. Since 2018, they have been listed as a vulnerable species on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, a global resource that reports on extinction risks. In 2022, the State of the Birds report revealed they had lost half their populations in the past 50 years. 93 percent of the icy tundra where they nest and breed could now become too warm to support them if we fail to take immediate climate action.
We must flock together to protect birds before it’s too late—and there’s no better opportunity to help than today, ahead of Earth Day. Please start your dependable monthly gift right away while your first gift will be matched 2X up to $30,000. ([link removed])

Guided by research and grounded in our shared love of birds, we work every day for practical, effective solutions to the urgent and interconnected problems of biodiversity loss, habitat destruction and degradation, and climate change—just as we have for decades. And with the support of bird lovers like you, we’re making an impact: Restoring and improving the resilience of important landscapes, successfully advocating for climate legislation at the state and federal level, and securing space, clean air, and clean water that birds and people need to live and thrive.
The birds you love need protection.
* Two-thirds of North American bird species are at increasing risk of extinction from climate change.
