A very grateful Thank You to all of you for Promoting the Resolution to support the U.S. Citizens Elections Bill of Rights with your grassroots groups and in your GOP County conventions. The Resolution is now moving to the District Conventions. Our goal is for all of NC support. Calling your US Congressman to pass the SAVE Act which passed this Thursday, 4/10/25 with all of the Republicans plus four Democrat crossover votes. Your activism was vital in securing all votes. EIN was there for the vote!
TAKE ACTION! President Trump's Election Integrity executive order calls for new machine certification. Commissioners should not be purchasing more of the current machines. Please organize a group in your county to attend your commissioners' meeting to inform them of President Trump's executive order To Preserve and Protect the Integrity of American Elections and urge them not to make any more purchases of current voting machines until a solution to the 2.0 certification is resolved. You need to get this on the public record. Educate! This is an email sent to two Henderson County commissioners. In President Trump's Executive Order, Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections, Section 4 (b)(i) (states) The Election Assistance Commission shall initiate appropriate action to amend the (VVSG) Voluntary Voting System Guidelines 2.0 and issue other appropriate guidance establishing standards for voting systems to protect election integrity. The amended guidelines and other guidance shall provide that voting systems should not use a ballot in which a vote is contained within a barcode or quick-response code in the vote counting process except where necessary to accommodate individuals with disabilities, and should provide a voter-verifiable paper record to prevent fraud or mistake. (states) (ii) Within 180 days of the date of this order, the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) shall take appropriate action to review and, if appropriate, recertify voting systems under the new standards established under subsection (b)(i) of this section, and to rescind all previous certifications of voting equipment based on prior standards. Our NCEIT (North Carolina Election Integrity Team) county coordinators are reaching out to their county commissioners to encourage them not to purchase new voting machine equipment until the voting machines are either recertified to meet the 2.0 standards or repurchased. Our current machines do not even comply with the VVSG 1.0 certification. Any expenditures for voting systems or equipment must be conditioned on certification of compliance with the VVSG 2.0+ standards as described in the Executive Order. In addition, the EO calls for 180 days to comply which means the vendors do not have a lot of time to 'fix' the problem. We're just trying to be good stewards of our tax money while securing the vote.
