Deportees from the Dominican Republic cannot go to Port-au-Prince, which is controlled by gangs, or to the South, because the roads are controlled by gangs. Communities in the North, such as Gros Morne, are left trying to help these refugees with very limited resources. The local Catholic parish, Lachandle, has stepped up to identify the most vulnerable and, with your help, will provide small cash stipends to help families to get back on their feet.
Goal: Distribute $225 over 6 months to 200 families who are unable to pay for food, clothing, medical care or housing. We thank you for your support. |
