Hey, True Texans!

Uh... I may have been a little too ambitious.  This week our awesome scheduler, Olivia, put together the bones of this newsletter like she always does for me, and then, being the thoughtful, beautiful person that she is, she asked if I'd like her to put the final touches on it since I was so overwhelmed with our gala, Texas Tough.  I said no, I was sure I'd want to tell you guys all about the night, even if I was tired.  Ha!  Dumb move.  Tired doesn't even begin to cover how I feel, and so today all I'll tell you is that I'll send out a full recap of the night this week, including a link to all the pics and a survey.  Watch for it because the night was just incredible.

"Spicy Girls" - the gala was the 1st time our entire staff was together at the same time!

As for me, I plan to spend Palm Sunday at church, and then kick back in the afternoon at Chill in Grapevine, listening to the all-request music of Tim Georgeff.  If you're in the area, it's way more fun with friends, so join me! Tim is there from 2:30-5:30pm.  (Tim is the incredibly talented musician that performs at our Christmas dueling pianos party, as well as the husband of TTP fave Shelley Luther).

Then on Monday and throughout the week, we're hosting meetings all over the state.  Be sure to check out the calendar below.  I'll be at the Tarrant meeting Monday.  Looking forward to seeing you!

One more thing I want to say about this past week.  I was in Austin testifying to the Senate on "Lizzy's Bill" -- it's a bill that will help my daughter get into medical training without vaccinations. I am humbled and honored that so many True Texans jumped in to encourage the committee to support this bill.  Hopefully we'll hear something this week.

Thank you for your support on that bill, at the gala, and at the candidate party my family hosted for Tammy Nakamura for GCISD.  All of that happened in one week, and your support kept me going.  You guys have become such an incredible extended family, and I love you for it!

Capitol Engagement

Reminder:  Every Tuesday we meet up at the Capitol! If you bring a carpool, we'll pay for your gas! If you have plans to join us in Austin on any Tuesday, email [email protected] so we can include you in our plan for the day.

There is only ONE bus trip left (paid for by Patriot Mobile and Texas Gun Rights) so don't miss your chance!
