We’re not going to pretend that every day is sunshine and rainbows right now, friend.

A lot of the news is pretty grim.

But it isn’t all bad. Matter of fact, a lot of good is still happening.

Case in point: Our sister organization, Vet Voice Foundation, just helped real, effective gun safety laws get passed in Colorado.

Yes, you heard that right — gun safety laws passed in 2025.

Governor Polis signed a law requiring background checks, safety training, and permits to buy assault weapons. Vet Voice spearheaded this effort because they know what’s at stake. They’ve carried these weapons, they know what they can do, and they know they don’t belong on our streets.

That’s good news, and we hope it gives you a little hope.

Thanks for all your support,

The team at VoteVets

🇺🇸 Before you go — one more thing 🪖

Of all the people who get these emails, just 5% have made a donation to support our work. That’s 5% with skin in the game at VoteVets, powering everything we do. If everyone reading this chipped in even $5 today we’d raise enough that we wouldn’t need to ask all year!

But not everyone can donate. We get that.

That’s why it’s important that the folks who can afford it chip in from time to time. That’s how we get this done. And, if you can, we’re humbly asking you to make a donation to VoteVets today.
