You probably have heard the term "dark money" thrown out quite a bit, even from us. Dark money is when shady organizations pop up to spend money in a race with very little transparency about where the money is coming from.
Often, these groups are out-of-state and are able to spend large sums of money for or against someone. They are usually funded by just a handful of wealthy individuals, or even just one lone donor. In our case, Republican dark money groups are expected to spend millions of dollars to unseat Congresswoman Nellie Pou.
The reason for this is that Nellie is a top target for them. They'll stop at nothing to try to defeat her and grow their House majority. We cannot let dark money groups come in and buy this election. That's why we're turning to our supporters for help. We don't have a handful of wealthy individuals to fund million-dollar smear campaigns.
