John, it’s Frank Mrvan. I’ll get straight to it. Here are the three things you need to know about this race right now:
1. This race is shaping up to be just as competitive as last time around. We’re a Frontline race, which means we’re playing defense to defend this critical seat.
2. Republicans are clinging to one of the slimmest majorities in history, so they’re coming after me. The NRCC has already set their sights on flipping Northwest Indiana, making me one of their top targets for this cycle.
3. Our ability to put the brakes on Donald Trump’s extreme agenda relies on taking back the House, and we can’t do that without winning competitive races like mine. The Cook Political Report’s latest rankings put this district right on the needle, and they’re calling the House a toss-up.
Competitive races like this are never easy, John. But I’ve won tough races before and I know that this grassroots team is more powerful than whatever’s coming our way.
