Donald Trump had already cut the department’s workforce in half. Now, he’s directing his Secretary of Education to shut it down completely, stripping away vital support for schools, students, and teachers.
This isn’t about government efficiency. It’s about gutting public education. And it’s not just going to be members of Congress who save our schools. It’s going to take our unions. It’s going to take every single one of us. It’s going to take people power.
That’s why I’m not just speaking out. I’m organizing, legislating, and fighting — in Congress, in our communities, and in coalition with educators — to protect our schools. But I need you with me.
