So close we can feel it

Alright, John. We set a goal of raising $8,000 so we can reach out to Georgia voters on June 9th, as they're waiting in line to vote, and encourage them to sign up for a mail-in ballot for the fall. Georgia is a swing state in 2020 and could be key to defeating Donald Trump.

We are so, so, so close -- about $700 away from our goal. If you can give $5 or $10, we are confident we'll get there by midnight. We need your support to put us over the edge and make it easier for Georgians to vote-by-mail.

Our ads are prepped, the addresses of polling locations are uploaded. Now we just need to make sure we have the funds to execute our innovative program to reach Georgia voters and sign them up for mail-in ballots for November.

Thank you so much for being in this fight.

Subject: Just announced: Our new program to reach Georgians & expand vote-by-mail

Hi John,

We have big news!! Next Tuesday, during the Georgia primary election, we are debuting a new program that we believe will make a huge difference in the efficiency of vote-by-mail programs.

With digital ads, we are reaching out to voters who are casting their ballots in-person and encouraging them to request mail-in ballots ahead of November. We are focusing on reaching Georgia voters at polling locations in Black, Latinx, and AAPI neighborhoods -- voters that are less likely to request mail-in ballots.

This is a new way that we can use technology and our grassroots activism to reach "dual-risk" voters, and we are asking all of our supporters to help fund this program. Dual-risk voters are people who are most likely to contract COVID-19 and the least likely to request a mail-in ballot.

We were actually just featured in The New York Times about this program, and we’re really excited about it. Not only will we directly reach voters and facilitate getting them mail-in ballots for the general election in Georgia, but this digital ads program helps us figure out exactly who is most likely to miss out on vote-by-mail opportunities so we can refine future outreach.

And now this is where you come in.

We have enough funds to run our initial test program for this election, but given the enthusiastic response we’ve received since The New York Times story ran, we want to expand that, and so we are trying to raise another $8,000 before Tuesday. This will allow us to reach polling sites in majority-Black neighborhoods outside of the Atlanta metropolitan area (i.e. across the “Black Belt” of Georgia) as well as include polling sites in the diverse neighborhoods of southwest Gwinnett county just outside of Atlanta.

If you can chip in -- even $10, $15, or $20 -- it all makes a difference and adds up, and will help us reach our goal.

Waiting in line has been around for as long as human civilization and societies had to pull water from a well, but in the age of COVID-19, we need to make sure people skip the line at polling locations and so they can vote safely, at home.

Thank you,
Ben and Suzy

------------
Vote From Home 2020 is a grassroots movement that's making vote by mail more accessible. With a $25 donation, we'll send vote by mail applications to 20 voters. COVID-19 has brought America to a halt, and with it almost all in-person voter mobilization efforts. While volunteers can’t get on buses to swing states or go door-to-door right now, there is a huge opportunity for progressives, especially in solidly blue states, to get out the vote where it counts. By sending vote by mail ballots to targeted states and following up with text and calls to voters, we can ensure the 2020 general election is safe and accessible. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $25 so consider donating that today to support voting rights.
