We are in a pivotal moment for our nation and our democracy -- but time and again, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is failing to take action or provide the leadership we need.

This week, rather than responding to urgent issues like police brutality or the pandemic, the Senate GOP was focused on confirming McConnell’s protégé to the federal bench.

Flipping the Senate in November has never been more crucial, John. I’m fighting to keep Illinois blue and elect Democrats across the country, but I need you with me in this fight. Will you pitch in $5 to support my re-election campaign right now?

New poll numbers and analysis from political experts show that control of the Senate is within Democrats’ reach in 2020 -- but make no mistake, this will not be an easy fight for us to win.

There is so much on the line in this election, John. If we come up short, we’ll be stuck with Mitch McConnell and the GOP in charge for at least another two years. That’s two more years of enabling the far-right agenda while refusing to take action on critical issues.
