It was another productive week for Republicans both on the Hill and back at
home. In North Carolina, Republicans are celebrating a major victory for
election integrity. This ruling holds election officials and Democrats
accountable and sets the tone for future elections across the country.
On the campaign front, we received news this week that Wiley Nickel has
officially entered the race for Thom’s seat in the Senate. Make no mistake,
Wiley is just another rubber stamp for Democrats. His track record in the House
demonstrated a troubling history of falling in line with extremists on the Left.
Having said that, we are not worried. In fact, Team Tillis is more invigorated
than ever before! North Carolinians will choose between a woke trial lawyer who
sides with criminals or a conservative, no-nonsense fighter who is working with
President Trump to put Americans FIRST! We trust that voters will make the
right decision.

America Rising: Agencies and Cabinet Members Make Progress Advancing
President’s Trumps Agenda
As Thom says, we didn’t need new laws—we just needed a new president. Under
President Trump and his administration, our borders are more secure than ever
before.
Under Biden, more than 900,000 migrants

came in through our southern border after securing appointments through a
smartphone app called CBP One. But the Trump administration is now revoking the
legal status of these migrants, instructing them to leave the country
immediately or face arrest and deportation.
And in a move to protect hardworking taxpayers from footing the bill for
terrorist sympathizers, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will
now screen applicants’social media

to see if they have endorsed or interacted with terrorists or organizations
who support antisemitic terrorism.
President Trump, his cabinet, and Senate Republicans are putting Americans
first and taking our country back one strong decision at a time!
Legislative Highlights: Thom Fights for our Nation’s Heroes with Two Pieces of
Bipartisan Legislation
Thom introduced two pieces of legislation this week that will greatly benefit
many of our nation’s veterans.
First, the Service Dogs Assisting Veterans (SAVES) Act would establish a
program to award grants to nonprofit organizations to assist them in carrying
out programs to provide service dogs to eligible veterans. Here’s what Thom
said about this important bill:
“The SAVES Act will allow more veterans who are struggling with the invisible
wounds of war to receive service dogs that could ultimately save their lives.
We must repay the debt to the men and women who served our country. I hope
Congress quickly passes this legislation to provide them with this important
resource.”
Additionally, Thom worked across the aisle to introduce the bipartisan,
bicameralVeterans Education and Technical Skills (VETS) Opportunity Act,
legislation that would extend educational benefits in the Post-9/11 GI Bill to
include hybrid versions of skilled trade training programs.
“This commonsense legislation modernizes the Post-9/11 GI Bill to expand
veterans’ access to high-quality skilled trade and vocational programs for
in-demand career pathways like welding and HVAC, ensuring they have the tools
and resources they need to succeed in today’s workforce,” Thom said. “By
supporting hybrid learning opportunities, we’re providing veterans with the
flexibility to gain critical skills, find gainful employment, and contribute to
our economy after their service.”
North Carolina News: Charlotte Set to Host the 2027 Military World Summer Games
The 2027 CISM Military World Summer Games are coming to North Carolina—marking
the first time the United States has been chosen to host the prestigious global
event.
The Military World Games are held every four years and take place the year
before the Olympics. 10,000 military athletes from more than 100 countries will
compete in 25 sports like swimming and basketball, as well as military-specific
events, such as parachuting.
But this isn’t just a point of pride for Charlotte—it’s a major economic win
for the entire state. Hosting the games could bring $3 billion in revenue,
which means North Carolinians will all benefit from the massive sport tourism
money that will pour into the state.
