John, families across the nation are paying a fortune for child care. 

If you’re a parent, you know the struggle. If not, picture this: After a few months off with your new baby, you’re ready to go back to work.  

But child care costs more than rent in all 50 states… and your family just can’t afford it.  

Do you stay home and give up your income? Or keep your job and try to swing the expense on top of housing, transportation and grocery bills?  

It’s an impossible choice – one that Americans face every day. That’s why we’re fighting to enhance the child care tax credits, a critical support for families.

Believe it or not, the U.S. economy loses $122 billion in revenue every single year because families can’t find child care.  

It doesn’t have to be this way, John. Tax credits that help families pay for child care haven’t been updated since 2001 –  but over the past 20 years, child care costs have gone up 223%.  

Families can’t wait any longer for support. Please, call on Congress to improve the child care tax credits!
