John, Republicans just introduced discriminatory legislation that would turn back the clock by a decade, and we all need to speak up to stop it. Nearly ten years ago, far-right Republicans passed the “Bathroom Bill” here in North Carolina. It harmed our communities, imperiled our economy, and threatened North Carolina’s future. North Carolinians united in opposition to the Bathroom Bill — and together, we repealed it. Now, we have to stand up again. Republicans’ new bill is the Bathroom Bill dressed up with the language of the far-right’s 2025 culture war agenda — the agenda that North Carolina voters REJECTED in November when they elected Democratic leaders statewide and broke the GOP’s supermajority.
