We know these are challenging times for all of us. The uncertainly and chaos makes us all feel vulnerable. We hope you can still join us in providing support to some of the most vulnerable victims of U.S. policies.
A recent article in the Miami Herald was titled "Haiti's Capital is Close to Falling to Armed Gangs." While gangs have controlled many parts of the capital, attacks have recently expanded to new neighborhoods. According to the author, "in the past month a record 60,000-plus people have been forced to flee their homes." This adds to the already more than one million displaced across the country.
Some of the displaced people have made their way to Gros Morne where the community is struggling to support them.
Our partners have identified the most vulnerable families and want to provide financial support that would allow families to pay for food, clothing, medical care, housing, etc. Each family will receive three, $75 stipends over 6 months.
Your donation will have a very real, immediate impact on these families.
We thank you for your support.
