In just the first three months of 2025, lawmakers have introduced 41 new
bills to criminalize protest. Peaceful dissent is being met with felony
charges, civil lawsuits, and threats of prison time—just for speaking out.

This isn’t about public safety. It’s about power—and who’s allowed to
challenge it.

We’ve seen it before. From Standing Rock to the fight for racial justice,
the same playbook gets recycled: intimidate organizers, punish
communities, and drown our movements in fear and red tape.

This is fascism. It’s using laws and fear to dismantle resistance and
erase our freedoms in plain sight.

But here’s what history shows: repression doesn’t stop resistance—it fuels
it.

As long as Women’s March exists, we will fight like hell to defend our
freedom to protest. Because protest is not a threat—it is a lifeline for
democracy.
