“There’s not much better on a warm summer day than a ride across the water for a stroll along Alki, a trip to the Seattle Aquarium, or a day of visiting shops in Vashon,” said King County Executive Shannon Braddock. “This is the first full summer of expanded service to Vashon and I look forward to seeing people enjoying a ‘water taxi summer’ on this convenient and car-free transit option!”
Downtown Seattle will be busy this summer This summer Kendrick Lamar will perform at Lumen Field, followed by Morgan Wallen (with Miranda Lambert). T Mobile Park will host K-Pop stars Stray Kids, along with Post Malone and a visit from the Lumineers. Along with the Mariners, Sounders and Seattle Reign FC, the world is coming to watch the FIFA Club World Cup, featuring some of the best soccer clubs of Europe and South America. The waterfront is getting the event of the summer with Seafair’s Torchlight Parade moving onto Alaskan Way. The Water Taxi is a great way to get to these events in Pioneer Square and downtown Seattle, and to connect to transit options that will take you throughout the region.
