Join us on April 16 for a Town Hall
Last month, almost 2,000 of you turned up to make your voices heard at our first in-person town hall in Bloomington. It was incredible to see so many of our neighbors come out on a busy weeknight – doing the hard work of showing up and standing up for our democracy. It was an incredible demonstration of what I believe so firmly: we are not powerless. We are stronger together.
TOWN HALL
I’m excited to announce that I will be holding my next in-person town hall in Minnetonka next week. I will also be joined by a very special guest: Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison! We’ll kick off the town hall with an update from AG Ellison on his latest efforts to defend our democracy and stop the Trump-Vance Administration’s unconstitutional overreach of executive power, and then we’ll hear your thoughts and take your questions.
COMMUNITY GATHERING
Before the town hall starts, we’ll open the doors two hours early to gather together as a community and make your voices heard. We’ll have ways for you to share your thoughts and concerns on the issues that matter most to you.
One of the most powerful tools we have in our democracy is standing up, speaking out, and sharing our stories. As your Representative, I am committed to elevating your stories, bringing your concerns to Congress, and making sure we are fighting together to uphold our democracy and make life better for all Minnesotans and Americans. Read more on examples of stories we’ve been sharing here.
- Are you a small business owner who will be impacted by President Trump’s tariffs?
- Are you a parent who needs to purchase baby gear or child care products but are concerned about skyrocketing costs from President Trump’s tariffs?
- Do you or a loved one get health care coverage or nursing home care coverage through Medicaid (known as Medical Assistance in Minnesota)? Are you concerned about the Republicans’ budget that proposes massive cuts to Medicaid?
- Do you or a loved one rely on a clinical trial or medical research that’s funded by NIH? Are you concerned about how the Trump Administration is slashing funding for NIH?
- Do you or a loved one receive care or work at the VA? Are you concerned about the Trump Administration’s plans to cut VA staffing by tens of thousands of employees?
- Do you receive Social Security? Are you concerned about Elon Musk and Donald Trump dismantling Social Security and increasing barriers to getting your hard-earned benefit?
- Are you concerned about President Trump’s unconstitutional overreach of executive power?
Come and share your story. The power is with the people – and we’re making sure the people are heard.
