🌹🚪 CANVAS: MICHAEL WESTGAARD FOR RENTION CITY COUNCIL🚪🌹

This Saturday, April 12, 11:30AM
RSVP

Come help us spread the word about Michael's campaign for Renton City Council!

Michael is a DSA member and officially endorsed by our chapter. He's running on a platform to represent working people and families, both native born and undocumented/documented immigrants:

  • Fighting for housing for all by building more social housing and implementing caps on rent hikes
  • Defending the gains from Raise the Wage Renton from big business trying to claw it back
  • Championing public transit and connecting Renton to the broader region

We need the power of working people to get him elected!

We'll meet Saturday at 11:30am at the Renton Public Library. We'll start with a training for new canvassers, then send volunteers out into Renton neighborhoods to knock doors. RSVP HERE!

What should I bring?

  • Bring a fully charged phone with the MiniVAN app installed
  • Bring a rain coat, we might get some light rain
  • Bring a friend to double your impact!

Phonebank for IAM/Delta Campaign

This Sunday, April 13th, 1PM

RSVP to get the Zoom link and to keep up to date on the campaign!

Did you enjoy phonebanking or canvassing this recent special election and want to keep the organizing energy going? Do you want to be part of one of the largest union drives in the country?

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has reached out to DSA chapters nationwide to assist with the groundwork for their organizing drive at Delta Airlines.

This is a collaboration between IAM members at other airlines, Delta employees who want the union, IAM organizers, and DSA members including Seattle DSA’s own Labor Working Group. Our role is to help workers and union organizers reach members outside the workplace, because the airport is such a heavily surveilled environment.

We will be phonebanking Delta workers whose union cards have expired. We are trying to get them to re-sign their cards as every card counts in a union certification!
