Wyoming State Parks have had a presence in libraries for years and we're working on making that presence better than ever! We now have day use passes available to check out in 19 counties, likely with more to come. This program is under construction still with more libraries signing up, but passes are distributed to the 19 systems so far. This pass allows folks to visit our sites for free for the day, making access easier through a trusted community partner of a library. Wyoming has the highest per capita library visitation in the country. We have some great systems throughout the state - and even have some library programs coming up this month! Here's a map to help you visualize and get started, but things are still in some flux, so don't worry if your library isn't listed yet.
We hosted our little friends from Lander Learning Express for a special snake program! This group is always so inquisitive and has alarmingly good deductive reasoning. They'll be back for a ferret program in June. Hoping to book a field trip at Sinks Canyon? Fill out this form: https://wyoparks.info/sinksfieldtrips.
Season is heating up - both with the weather and our program offerings.
Join Ranger Scott the next two Saturdays at the Fremont County Library - Lander. He'll be there set up to talk all about eggs.
![]() Our Lander offerings aren't just for kids! Folks of all ages can find out more about their backyard birds nests, eagle nests they might see, and other animals that lay eggs.
People of all ages and abilities are invited to join our egg scavenger hunt along the Sinks to Rise Trail at Sinks Canyon State Park. Start at the visitor center where you can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet (or download it to your phone from this email!). Make your way down the trail to the Rise and pick up clues along the way. You can pick up a sticker prize at the office at the Rise on your way out of the canyon!
![]() ![]() ![]() For both egg hunts, be sure to be parked and walk safely to the hunt by the start time. It can get competitive out there and we don't want you to miss out.
Bear River's Egg Hunt will continue with several stations to interact with! Engage with staff and volunteers to explore Leave No Trace, match nests to birds, and learn more about eggs.

🍿 We will offer a movie in June, July and August and are inviting YOU to help us decide! 🎥Write the name of the movie under the image on the park's Facebook page, call in to the visitor center, or text your choices (307) 380-3031. 📅You have til April 14th to vote! We encourage you to look up the trailers for some of these unique offerings - there may be a movie to entice you! ![]() The June movie choices are: The July movie choices are: The August movie choices are: ![]() What am I most excited about? That the Big Horn District has a permanent interpretive ranger this summer! I'm so glad that Ranger Katie is on the western side of the state and is putting together great programs for visitors. We'll be collaborating quite a bit - with her using animal ambassadors or us teaming up on campouts!
