Dear Neighbor,

During our most recent Community Conversation in San Pedro, and in your calls and messages into our office, I have heard loud and clear the outrage many CA-44 residents feel about the harmful actions of the Trump Administration and the damaging impact of Elon Musk's cuts to essential government programs and services.

From defying court orders and implementing inhumane immigration policies, to threatening Social Security and Medicaid and dismantling the Department of Education, the effects have been devastating. Many of you have also raised concerns about the high cost of living, Trump’s tariffs —which amount to a tax on hardworking American families and small businesses— and the layoffs of federal workers, which undermine vital public services and hurts our economy.

It is important that you share your stories, as they are crucial in helping me fight back in Washington and stand up for all of us—especially now, when our children, seniors, veterans, and underserved communities are at risk.

If you’ve been impacted or could be impacted by the Trump Administration’s actions, I want to hear from you. 

By sharing your stories, we can amplify the real-life impacts of these harmful actions in floor speeches, committee hearings, social media, and when doing interviews. It’s important to show that these job, program, and funding cuts are not just numbers – they inflict pain on real people!
