I’m Honored to Have My First Endorsement for 2026 from My Friend, and Our Great President, Donald J. Trump

I am honored to once again have the complete and total endorsement of my friend — and our great President — Donald J. Trump.

Serving as Texas Chair of his presidential campaigns in 2016, 2020, and 2024 has been one of the great privileges of my time in office. Together, we've stood strong for conservative values, secured major victories at the ballot box, and delivered real results for Texas.

With President Trump back in the White House and our shared priorities front and center — from securing the border and stopping migrant crime to unleashing American energy, defending the Second Amendment, cutting taxes, and putting parents in charge of their kids’ education — I’m ready to keep fighting for Texas and for our country.

Thank you, Mr. President — I won’t let you down. Let’s finish the job in 2026.

Announcing My 2026 Campaign for Re-election

This Legislative Session, the Texas Senate has already passed the most conservative agenda in Texas history – including school choice, property tax relief, investing in our water infrastructure, our electric grid, banning non-citizens from voting, and returning prayer and the Ten Commandments to our public schools.

With the Legislative Session past the half-way point and many of our priority bills passed, I am announcing my 2026 re-election campaign. A more formal kickoff will come following the Session, but I wanted to make my intentions known and official.

I am pleased and honored my very first re-election endorsement came from my friend and ally President Donald J. Trump.

The campaign will begin soon enough, but with seven weeks still to go in the Legislative Session, my focus remains on the work to be done at the Capitol for the people of Texas.

President Trump Is Standing Up for Texas Farmers

President Trump is right: Texas farmers are getting robbed of the water we’re owed, and it’s time Mexico paid up.

For years, they’ve failed to honor the treaty. Meanwhile, our farmers—who feed and fuel this country—are left dry.

Enough is enough. I stand with President Trump in demanding action. Texas water belongs to Texas. Period.

"The Texas Senate Is in Overdrive, Working Hard to Complete the People’s Business"

The Texas Senate is in overdrive, working hard to complete the people’s business.

Texans expect us to pass more property tax relief and border security funding. They expect us to pass legislation to reduce crime on our streets, keep criminals behind bars with strong bail reform, protect our children, enact school choice, put prayer and the Ten Commandments back in our schools, pay our teachers like the professionals they are, stop illegal immigrants from voting, address the healthcare of Texans, address our water and power needs, create new jobs, continue our strong business climate, and so many other important issues.

I am proud to say the Texas Senate has already, with lightning-fast speed, passed bills on all these issues and more.

As the Senate advances into April, the Texas Senate has already passed an amazing 32 of the voters’, the Senate’s, and my top 40 priority bills over to the House. My goal is to pass most, if not all, of the 40 Senate priority bills and other major bills by April 15, as I have done every session since I have been Lt. Governor. I do not let the clock kill important, must-pass bills.

This can be one of the most conservative sessions in history. The Senate has done its work and will continue to do whatever it takes to deliver what the voters of Texas expect from us.

The Texas Senate is moving rapidly to ensure all these bills have ample time to pass the Texas House and arrive at Gov. Abbott’s desk to be signed into law. This session started out with a hopeful working relationship with Speaker Burrows. Working together with the House, this could be the best session ever for all Texans and especially for conservatives.

Andrew Hughes: An Excellent Choice for Deputy Secretary at HUD

I like to see great Texans supporting and working for the President in his administration.

Andrew Hughes is one of the latest Texans to be up for a confirmation hearing.

He’s an excellent choice for Deputy Secretary at HUD, under another great Texan, Secretary Scott Turner. Andrew is a stalwart conservative dedicated to uplifting American communities. Andrew’s previous HUD experience working with Dr. Ben Carson makes him a perfect fit for this important role. I am pleased to support him for HUD Deputy Secretary.

Thank you for all your support over the years and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.

Sincerely,

Dan Patrick
