John, when focus
groups are asked what animal best represents the Democratic Party, do you
know what they say? A turtle. Yes, a turtle. 🐢

Guess what animals they cite for Republicans? 🦁 Lions. 🦈 Sharks.

That’s the perception — and it needs to change. Because here’s the
reality:

Our generation is changing what it means to lead from the ground up. And
we’re done with waiting for the same old politicians to make it happen.

Take Austin, Texas, where bold, progressive city council members
spearheaded the largest zoning reform in any major U.S. city — it was so
effective that it lowered rents while prices skyrocketed elsewhere.

Or look at what we achieved after Uvalde — not just stronger background
checks but the creation of the first-ever Office of Gun Violence
Prevention at the White House. That office oversaw billions in funding and
helped deliver the two largest one-year reductions in gun homicides in
U.S. history.

We did that. Because our policies center people and communities first. And
they save lives.

At Leaders We Deserve, we back young candidates who are done waiting and

the status quo — and they know that the American people have waited long
enough for meaningful progress.
