Team,
I am hearing from many of my constituents who are rightfully worried about potential cuts to Social Security and whether or not they’ll be able to access these critical benefits.
President Trump promised to leave Social Security alone. But now, DOGE is closing 1,000 Social Security offices and firing 7,000 employees. The head of the Social Security Administration threatened to shut down the agency, saying only “fraudsters” would complain if they didn’t receive their Social Security check. This is all happening after Elon Musk called Social Security, “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time.”
Millions of Americans rely on their Social Security checks every single month to put food on the table, pay for prescription medicine, and cover the cost of their bills. My office has had endless calls from constituents who are scared and unsure what to do without an income.
The Trump administration’s actions are creating distress and making it harder for people who rely on Social Security by taking away accessibility and functionality of the program.
It’s our responsibility to protect our seniors, disabled individuals, and children whose guardians have passed. That’s why I’m doing everything I can in Congress to protect Social Security and stop President Trump and Elon Musk’s dangerous funding cuts.
I know I have a target on my back, but I won’t stop fighting to protect Social Security and other critical programs for Americans. Will you stand with me today by making a contribution to fuel my work in Congress? It means a lot to me to know I have your support,Friend. [[link removed]]
