The Trump administration and anti-abortion extremists have a strategy to ban abortion nationwide: misinterpreting and weaponizing an outdated, 150-year-old law known as the Comstock Act.

Project 2025 has laid out the plan—and Trump is already appointing extremists to make it happen.

They could do it by blocking the mailing of abortion pills and medical equipment used for abortion care–even in states where abortion is legal.

This would effectively be a national abortion ban, and it could happen without Congress ever passing a new law.

The truth is: Republicans never intended to stop at overturning Roe v. Wade. They are coming for all abortion care—everywhere, for everyone, for any reason.

Americans do not want this. Poll after poll shows that 8 in 10 Americans believe abortion should be legal.
