[1]Mark Kelly for Senate

Friend —

When you’re elected to federal office, you get access to a lot of sensitive information. A lot of that information could be used for financial gain. And, if you ask me, that’s a conflict of interest.

We can all agree that members of Congress shouldn’t be allowed to trade stocks. That’s why I put all of my assets in a blind trust when I became a United States Senator.

Now, this Tuesday, Trump told all of his followers on X that it was a great time to buy. A few hours later, he announced that the tariffs he put in place were all getting scaled back to 10% — with the exception of the ones still applied to China. Those tariffs tanked the economy, and when he announced they were off, the markets temporarily spiked.

It certainly looks like President Trump, Elon Musk, his Administration, his family, his friends, and his closest supporters in Congress positioned themselves to benefit from that. If that’s the case, the corruption is absolutely staggering. I’m pushing to get to the bottom of it.

The leaders of our country must be held to a higher standard than this, and something has to change.

So, today, I’m renewing my call for Congress to meet my standard — and I am expanding it to the entire Trump Administration. If you are in a position of public trust, you shouldn’t be trading stocks. None of us should use our positions for financial gain. Period.

If you’d like to join me, please: Add your name and tell Congress and the Trump Administration to stop trading stocks and put their assets in a blind trust. We must meet the ethical standard that our offices demand. Anything less is unacceptable.

Thanks a lot,

Mark
