Across the country, extreme Republican lawmakers are pushing legislation that would classify abortion as homicide.Yes—homicide.
This is beyond outrageous. It’s dangerous. And it’s an insult to every woman who has had to make one of the most personal decisions of her life. Abortion is healthcare. And no one—no politician, no prosecutor, no out-of-touch legislator—has the right to interfere.
As a doctor, Kim has spent her career caring for children and listening to families. She knows that every pregnancy is different, and sometimes, carrying it to term simply isn’t possible. Sometimes, an abortion is necessary to save a woman’s life. Sometimes, it’s a choice made with heartbreak, or courage.
And none of it should be criminalized.
Meanwhile, families are struggling. Grocery prices are up. The cost of living is rising. But instead of solving real problems, Republicans are obsessing over ways to control women’s bodies. . .again.
