Dear Jack,
There is something deeply wrong in our country when guns are the #1 killer of kids. Our children deserve to learn at school instead of fearing school shooters, and to enjoy public spaces without anxiety. Yesterday, I spoke on this topic alongside our next governor, Abigail Spanberger, at the Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety rally!

I am proud to have carried two gun violence prevention bills aimed at giving parents critical information on safe storage laws so we can stop suicides and school shootings. These bills are steps in the right direction, but there is so much left to do. I am ready to fight for commonsense gun violence prevention legislation, alongside Abigail Spanberger and a stronger Democratic majority in the House of Delegates. We are so close to enacting reasonable gun violence prevention laws. In the past two years, we passed legislation banning assault weapons and ghost guns, requiring the safe storage of firearms, and preventing domestic abusers from acquiring firearms. Sadly, each one of those measures was vetoed by Republicans. With your support, we can right these wrongs and put gun safety legislation into our law books.
