Friend,
In 2016, my son Nicholas—just 28 years old—was murdered when he was back home
in California.
Nicholas was a U.S. Marine. A proud father of two. My son.
He came home that summer to celebrate Father's Day and his sister's birthday.
What should have been a joyful time for our family became the most devastating
moment of my life.
No one came forward. The case went cold. And for five long years, we lived
without answers.
But I didn't give up. I couldn't.

I ran for Hemet City Council because I was determined to fight for
justice—not just for my son but for every family who has been failed by a
broken system.
And just months after I was elected, thanks to the tireless efforts of our
local law enforcement and, I believe, the grace of God, my son's killer was
found and arrested.
That moment changed everything for me.
Now, I'm running for United States Congress because I believe our communities
deserve leaders who will fight—not just talk—when lives are on the line.
Every single day, I think of Nicholas. He fuels my fight. His memory is why I
will never back down from defending our families, our freedoms, and our future.
But I can't do this alone. California's 25th district is winnable—but only
with a strong grassroots team behind me. The political elites in California
don't want someone like me—a Hispanic Marine veteran and a father—representing
this district.
That's why I'm asking for your help today.
Will you chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can spare to help us build a
campaign worthy of his legacy?

Thank you for reading my story. And thank you for standing with me in this
fight.
With gratitude,

Meet Joe Males:
Joe Males is a Marine Veteran, small business-owner, city council member, and
most importantly, a father. Throughout his life, he has put service to his
community at the forefront of his life's mission.
Shortly after turning 18, Joe enlisted in the Marine Corps. He attended boot
camp in Camp Pendleton and later served overseas in the Philippines and Guam.
After being discharged as a Sergeant, Joe remained committed to supporting his
fellow veterans. He took on leadership roles in his local Elks Lodge and
American Legion post, working to ensure veterans in the community had the
resources and support they deserved.
Following his time in the Marine Corps, Joe carried his strong work ethic and
discipline into the field of computer networking services. He started in an
entry-level position, worked his way through multiple leadership roles, and in
1996, he built his own business from the ground up. Joe knows firsthand the
hard work and sacrifice of this journey, and he's determined to make it easier
for hardworking Americans to do the same.
Joe's entry into politics was deeply personal. After his son, a Marine who
followed in his footsteps, was tragically murdered back home, Joe vowed that no
parent should have to endure such a loss. Determined to take a stand for public
safety and the rule of law, he ran for Hemet City Council to help ensure no
other family would experience the same tragedy.
During his tenure on the City Council, Joe has led numerous initiatives to
improve infrastructure, drive business growth, and keep neighborhoods safe and
clean. He takes pride in his ability to collaborate with fellow council members
and get results, even when facing different perspectives. Joe is committed to
bringing this same results-driven approach to Washington D.C., to ensure the
voices of the American people are heard and their needs are met.
