On Friday, Donald Trump visited Maine for a thinly disguised campaign rally. It went exactly how you’d expect: Trump toured a facility creating swabs for COVID testing while refusing to wear any sort of personal protective equipment… which contaminated all the testing swabs that were made that day. Everything had to be thrown out.

And where was Susan Collins while this was happening? Why, she was hiding from her constituents by staying in Washington, in order to headline a fundraiser benefiting herself and Trump.

This kind of behavior is exactly what you’d expect from the most ineffective President in history. Donald Trump isn’t interested in how Mainers are doing, or combating the global pandemic, or anything other than self-aggrandizement. And as for Susan Collins, she talks the talk but when it comes to walking the walk, she’s nowhere to be found.
