Iowans aren’t being complacent. They’re sending a message to our government to keep their hands off our social security, interfering with our public schools, tanking our economy, gutting Medicaid, firing our federal workers, and more.

Actions speak louder than words. When it’s clear that Iowa’s representatives in Washington are either inept or too afraid to stand up for the millions of people they represent, it’s on us to fight back.

And the fighting is working. From massive turnout in protests to surging Democratic turnout at the polls — we’re witnessing a shift happening across our state. IDP is on the frontlines along with our many partners mobilizing for change in 2026, and it’s clear from recent events that Iowans are ready for it.
