I believe that only U.S. citizens should vote in U.S elections, but Democrats in Congress decided they disagree.

Yesterday, the House of Representatives scored a major win for election integrity by passing the SAVE Act.

The SAVE Act is a simple but powerful piece of legislation: it ensures that only American Citizens can vote in American elections by requiring proof of citizenship to vote and ensuring strong voter ID standards nationwide. That’s it.

We know that noncitizen voting is an issue, Democrats have even admitted ([link removed]) as much.

Ensuring that only citizens vote in U.S. elections shouldn’t be controversial, yet Democrats and the Left are terrified that we want to protect the integrity of our elections - why?

It’s common sense that if you have to show an ID to drive, fly, or buy a beer you should have to show an ID and proof of citizenship to vote.

I’m proud to have championed the SAVE Act, but our work is not done. We must continue to do everything we can to ensure our elections are safe, secure, and fair.
