John, in the United States, we protest, we dissent, and we speak our minds – even when it makes people in power uncomfortable.

But Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement department (ICE) just posted – and then quickly deleted – a chilling message declaring that it’s their job to stop “illegal” ideas from crossing the border. [1]

This isn’t just a rogue tweet. This is a core part of Trump’s agenda: silence dissent, punish critics, and make fear the law of the land. They want to scare people out of standing up for immigrants, for justice, for basic human rights.

This fight isn’t about one tweet. It’s about whether the government gets to decide which thoughts are acceptable.  

This is just the latest attack from an administration that wants to police our right to speak, protest, and think freely – and it won’t be the last.

Of course they deleted the post after backlash. But don’t be fooled – this is the Trump administration’s agenda. They’re sending a message: disagree with us, and we’ll come for you.
